Benecko is located in the western part of the Krkonose Mountains at an altitude of 750-1000 asl, on the southern hill-side of the Žalého (1119 asl.). Its location not only provides views of the Sub-Krkonos region and Czech Paradise, but also of rounded peaks of the highest parts of the mountains. The Sportcentre Skalka lies in the very heart of Benecko, next to the central parking lot, close to Summer and Winter sports and social activities, which are held in the town.

10 maintained ski lifts and one chair-lift, of which the largest are maintained with artificial snow and have lighting, including the snowpark and snowtubing.
Cross-country ski trails: race and tourist trails maintained as necessary by grooming machines. The trails are connected to the Krkonos expressway, which enables cross-country skiers easy access to other ski centres. The Benecko circuit is in the very centre of the town with two trails for classic and one for skating technique for school training and undemanding cross-country skiers. Furthermore, there are rentals for all your ski and snowboarding needs.

Intertwined with numerous hiking trails, footpaths, and cycling trails through breathtaking nature. With the help of the cycle-bus it is possible to get to any place in Krkonos area. There are tennis and football-tennis courts and children's playgrounds available for use at your leisure.
